Came across this although haven't gone through most of the website. I see there is a 42 HDTV on sale at Sears for $777 and you can buy now instead of waiting for Friday (I remember someone asking about buying a tv for the holidays). I don't know enough about tv's to say this a good/bad one but it seems like a good deal.

Thanks Shayne! You may have just made my bank account a lot smaller!

That's a great deal, but I only have room for a 37"

Brief follow-up:
Sears will not accept orders or rainchecks, etc on this item now. Essentially, they are sold out but their website may suggest otherwise. The website is being revised and there are lots of glitches. One was listed as being available at Southpoint (Durham) store and I attempted online purchase. Several attempts sent me to a page that said Sears had a new Sears.com and I needed to Go Back. Site wouldn't accept my order and finally showed that none were in stock. A call to the store confirmed this and that the Sears.com is having problems.

Oh well . . . congrats to the folks that were wise/lucky enough to get in on the deal. It was a great buy and using Sears card knocked it down another 10% to $699

Roger

Sears had some great tool deals last weekend. I'm not really a "Craftsman fan" but I picked up a compressor/gun/hose combo that was $199 for $99.

Anybody need a nailer/stapler?

I need a stapler, me, me, me! What type/size staples does it use? What will you take for it?
Thanks,

Can't remember if it's against the rules, but the quickest (ie easiest for me) way to answer is a link to a forum I have it posted in:
http://forums.homepokertourney.com/i...c,12613.0.html

*EDIT* My apologies, just remembered non-members to that forum can't see pics. Details at bottom...

Sears doesn't sell the gun outside the combo for price comparison. I'm trying to price it around what would be 1/2 price. The comparable Bostitch sells on sites for $90. $45 Priority shipping included?

I saw the Wal-Mart ad and there ain't no way I'm going to go stand in line early Friday morning and fight a bunch of other people to get in the door first for one or two TV's.

I did see a Target ad for Mon-Weds for a 37" 1080i Magnavox for $849. I went down to look at it and there was right beside it an Olevia(sp) 37" for $799. It was a 720p/1080i. Had a much better warranty (one year in home parts and labor). As I was buying it, the clerk told me it would be on sale Friday for 6-something if I wanted to wait. Again, no way Jose that I was going to go stand in line at 5AM Friday morning to fight for a TV. I bought it and came home and hid it.

In today's HD ad for tomorrow...

Looks like it's time to replace the 11 year old DeWalt 12v.
But, I'll buy it at Lowes. They have the same DeWalt tomorrow for $99.
I choose to support Lowes. But, that's just me.
