Anyone remember back when we were younger and before we started dreaming of ww tools and making sawdust? Turn up your speakers and check out this site. It may jog your memory!

I've loved cars all my life. I was reading Hot Rod back when I was 12yo. I've spent many an hour and a crapload of money making em go faster and customizing them. Those days are mostly gone now. Thanks for the memories.

I miss the cruzin the most. Just parking and hanging with friends. Now, at least in Asheboro, the kids will get ran off by the cops at almost every place in town for "loitering". No wonder they get in so much trouble. They have to get out of sight just to hang out with friends.

Cool site. Just a little before my time though. I was a product of the 70's, got my drivers license in 77 and wanted a Dodge Charger or Plymouth Roadrunner (with a Hemi of course) so bad I could taste it. Probabley would have killed myself.

Guess we're the same age more or less. I wanted a Boss Mustang with all my being. Settled for a coupe. Lots'a hours in the tobacco fields to pay for that car. I loved it like it was alive.

I was born in 1948 and I am happy to say I remember many of those cars, and I could swear that drive-in theatre, the screen still stands, is in Gaston, North Carolina. Those radios brought back memories as well. We could only pick up two stations but that was enough at the time. thanks for sharing that walk through memory lane. I have saved the site to share with some friends as well as my 37 year old son. Lorraine

Cool site Skeeter
Hit the nail on the head for me
But I can't understand why they had so many 58 Chevys in the clip. I had one (and several of the other 50s and 60s cars), what a piece of crap

Lot's of vivid memories brought back here, Skeeter!!

Thanks for posting the site. Ya. Even in Canada we cruised the A & W in our 1939 Ford coupe's and me in my 1936 Dodge coupe, powered with a Chevy 283 4 barrel/Muncie 4 speed. Couldn't seem to keep rear tires on that car!!

Thanks again!

Wayne

Sorry Charles... that was a cheap shot on my part . (Sometimes I just can't stop myself.) I do remember the 50s well and fondly . Golden age of America. And I really did enjoy the site you posted.

By the way what is the favorite car you have ever owned?
Mine was a 1966 prince "skyline" the one in my avaitar (they were never imported to the us, but it walked many fairladys, the percurser to the z cars,
if you have seen the fast and furious 2 he is driving a new skyline in that movie) I loved that car

Hey Earl,

It must have been nice growing up around those cool cars.

Favorite car I ever owned was a '70 Buick Gran Sport with a 455 c.i. engine. One stout car.

Ray, I was only joking. No problem.
