I'm out here in the "Land of Smoke and Fire" and let me tell you, it's every bit as bad as the news portrays it to be. Just walk outside and smell the smoke. And I mean in the halls, not outdoors.

I'm in a Marriott hotel in Garden Grove, (Anaheim) and it's full of evacuee's from San Diego area and their pets. The hotel is accepting pets, mostly dogs, and all I've seen are well behaved.

Whatever we may think of California, these people need our prayers. One of my clients has an employee who has lost her home to the fires. And, there's not much relief in sight.

We should count our blessings, pray for rain, and for these folks.

My 2 cents worth.

There will be a few years of rebuilding, once the fires are extinguished.

It is truly sad. I feel for all of those people and the poor animals. I am not sure I could handle what they are going through. I am sorry to say for them there is more to come. Once the rains we are praying for hits they will have floods and mudslides due to the lost vegation.

Southern Ca is known to have some the the best climate in the continential US. They can keep it. I'll stick with NC and our climate issues.

The devastation has been unbelievable. I just heard that as of this morning 670 sq. miles have been destroyed. That's almost the size of Johnston County and more than twice the size of Durham County.

Let's pray for those folks.

Jimmy
