Domino = no chopping out mortises
No chopping out mortises = no chance of getting chisel stuck
No stuck chisel = no pulling hard on said chisel to excavate it
No pulling on chisel = no chance of bopping yourself in the chin breaking the skin and generally bleeding all over the place.

Just thought you should know.

Bas.

What's the fun if a little blood is not involved?

Is this wisdom coming from experience or just a scenario you dreamed up

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Well, I wouldn't call it wisdom...just experience

If I dream up scenarios, it usually involves me getting free tools or finding 16/4 mahogany in the back yard. Not bopping myself in the chin.

But that's just me.

You dream about finding 16/4 mahogany in the back yard - really? and here I thought I had a problem - Bas I think you qualify as a wood-a-holic - welcome to the club my friend.

I guess the good news is that it was the round end and not the sharp end of the chisel doing the damage to your chin. . . . . .

I've heard that "butt" chins are back in style

If the round end facing you is safer.... why can't I run with scissors!

Bandages make for better stories at work anyway Bas, Jim

All in all... an excellent reason to put the Domino on the wish list. (But, dear... you wouldn't want to see me get hurt doing work the dangerous way, would you?)

So Bas, do we now describe you as a guy that has "chiseled" features?

Ditto Ray's recommendation about putting a Domino on the list for Santa Paws!

Oh man, I should have kept my keyboard shut. I'm guess I'm going to be the "butt" of the jokes for the next few days. Everyone is being quite "blunt" about it. I'll just have to keep my chin up

Bas.

There is a "club"??? Is this the kind of club where you say "Hi, I'm Bas, and I'm a woodaholic", and everyone replies "HI BAS!"? I thought such clubs only existed for people with serious problems, like drugs, alcohol, Harbor Freight clamps etc.

But yeah, I got the bug bad. It might wear off a little in a decade or so. I don't consider this a problem though, still in the denial phase

Obviously, you're not JUST any ol' member. I would say you are a "GOLD CLUB" member!

BTW, maybe you should consider wearing the athletic cup on your chin?
