Man - you jsut keep putting all sorts of temptation in front of me! Do you know if the garage doors are wood? Metal? Single piece or "panels"?

Rick,

I just called the marketing coordinator for the ReUse Center and asked. I'll post any answer I get back

Thanks. The timing could prove interesting! Our garage door opening died (broken spring!) Trying to "fix" it, resulted in the other spring / mounting setup to get damaged. It is the old style wood frame, hardboard panels with glass. That sucker is HEAVY and virtually impossible to lift without the mechanical opener. Question is now: New door or new opener? My wife also pointed out the existing door is not in that great of shape. And then YOU post... Keep this stuff up and you will drive me away from here! Last time the cabinets went. Now possible garage door. Follow up question by LOML - Do they have any bathroom vanities? It is getting so I can't AFFORD this site!

Rick,

Yes, the ReUse Center does have vanities, cabinets, sinks, etc.

Still waiting for a call back from the folks there on the garage door... sometimes it's just easier to visit the store.

Oh yeah - that option has ALREADY been scheduled for tomorrow morning by the LOML!

Thanks for the leads! Got a new garage door - managed to find the higher quality model - aluminum with insulated foam core! Both boxes unopened. Translated into a weekend project - and a really nice looking, new garage door! $160 including tax!

Missed out on ceiling fans though - they apparently went fast.

If you think this one is hopping... just wait... we had the groundbreaking for the new facility last month. It'll be about three times the size.

A lot of what they do at the ReUse Center is keep stuff out of the landfills. Last year was 1,200 tons. I think they are about to post the latest... from what I hear, they beat their record for DeCon and ReUse.

Where will the new location be, Ray? Same general downtown area?
