I am working on a new shop project and need some small fans. I want to wire to standard 110. So the question is will these work?

Thanks Earl. When it comes to electric, I am even more stumped than when it comes to wood.

Re: ? For you electric guys..

You can run them with a 110V AC to 24V DC converter in the line.

Re: ? For you electric guys..

Or two car batteries wired in series. Positive on first battery to fan, negative to the positive on the second battery then the negative on second battery to negative on the fan. That makes 24 volts.

a one amp fan will run well over a hundred hours on a deep cycle battery set (like a marine boat motor type battery).

Then you hook it up to a charger once a week or recharge it with a solar panel.

Just an option...

Re: ? For you electric guys..

Dunno what you're trying to do with the fan, but if your job is small enough, you could use a 12v muffin fan, and any old 12v DC converter you've got (old dustbusters, rechargeable stuff, etc.), as long as the amprage is more or less a match.

You can buy a 120VAC version of that fan for around ten bucks at the surpluscenter.com

Re: ? For you electric guys..

You did not mention what you were going to use them for but you can go to wally world and get the clip on fans for very little and some are 2 speeds and can be clipped on if needed. They have them in various sizes and the price might be ok.

Depending on the size of fan you need and the use of it as to what fan will be best.
