On October 17th there is a workshop scheduled to make VW cars, racing cars, bears, and book holders in Creedmoor. We are having great difficulty finding people to help make these toys. The workshop is from 9 am - 4 pm. If you can help or know anyone that can help please email Fred Ford at fredford@nc.rr.com . The workshop needs at least ten people and can accomodate around twenty. All supplies are provided, we just need able woodworkers. Thanks for your consideration!

+1 This is a great cause if you have a few hours to spend. I am a TWA member and their T4T material chairman. We annually make and donate several thousand wooden toys of all shapes and sizes. This is not master craftsman work but every customer is happy.

I emailed Fred. I very well may be able to go. Who knows, I might take my daughter.

Thanks so much Travis. I forgot to mention that Fred said they were scheduled to make 1500 toys that day. I also forgot to mention that TWA stands for Triangle Woodworkers Association. They meet on the third Tuesday of the month at Klingspor's on Capital Blvd. I think with the bad economy Toys for Tots may be in more demand than ever.

Can you tell me more about it? What do I need to bring? Where in Creedmoor will this happening take place? Thanks.
