Fall 2009 Raffle drawing this Friday (11/20): See This Thread For Details
Thanks for sharing the link Pete, when I received that issue I was blown away. My daughter lives in CA within a half hour drive of some of the old growth giants. When I make my trek out there seeing these trees is definitely on my "must do" list.

Thanks Pete - my wife loves the NGG she will sit for hours reading them and then re-read them again - She was amazed at this article and she shared it with the rest of us I went to the site and downloaded the wallpaper of the tree for our desk top - she doesn't know it yet

I just can not help but to be in awe of something that old and majestic.
1500 years.
Imagine when it was a young sapling.....the world it has seen has changed so dramatically.

They've probably only seen other trees live and die, owls and other animals passing by..........after all, they are still hiding in the woods, aren't they?
Pretty awesome when I ventured through that area in late '80s. I'd like to go back.
