Maybe this is "wood" related and maybe it ain't but here goes. As many of you know I've been posting some really good deals on industrial grade shelving and workbenches recently. Well, as of today, that will be no more, at least for the time being.

I was informed this morning by my plant manager that due to the grade-school mentality of a couple of folks carping and whining, that he will no longer be able to afford me such luxuries. Seems that some #$%^@ have been unwilling to speak up that they would like to have some of the items, but have NO problem setting up a hissy fit

about "me" getting all the goodies.

Well, today a whole boat-load of stuff was carted off to the consignment store in Boger City.

Fortunately, that's just right down the street from where I live so I promptly scooted my little behind over there after work to see what the going rate was going to be on things we have interests in.

I was able to swing a fairly reasonable deal on some of them.

(pics will be posted up later on when I get it all sorted out.) Using my company ID I was able to verify that I knew the ins and outs of this here stuff and from whence it came.

In talking with the owner(s), I was able to learn that from time to time they get hold of things that may be of great interest to some of us here on Woodworker. I am going by tomorrow afternoon with camera in hand to take some pics of some pegboard he has and see what else I can discover. I told him I would post them on Woodworker and try to help him out.
Anyone interested, the name of the store is Consignment Savings and they are located at 2689 E. Main St. in Lincolnton. (That's in the Boger City section) Ph. no. is 704-732-6906 The workbenches that I think would be of greatest interest to everyone here already have my name on them so they are safe from those who would abuse them.

Okay, rant off. It just steams me no end when so-called intelligent adults degenerate into petty little children because they won't open their mouth and ask for something.

Hey I try ya know? I had a sweet little deal all lined up with the boss and it got shot down before we could get it off the ground. Oh well, at least all was not lost. I've got to make some room in my mini storage before I can even get these things up there. Soon as I get it all sorted out I'll post up an ad for them.
