It's ASIAN LADYBUG time. They have started to mass around the outside of the house - although not to bad this year because the house is now blue with white trim. Last year it was white, they seem to really like white...

I was thinkin' it was Miller time...but what do I know.
I have not experienced the Asian Ladybugs, but a friend of mine living outside of Asheville has. Maybe they like a slightly colder climate than here in Clayton. But we are having a massive influx of Harvestmen (Daddy-Longlegs) which are a lot of fun to eradicate.

Re: Guess what time it is ?

They arrived here today by the thousands! Our house is white, and they are attracted to white! Had a window open in my office about 1/2" and when I discovered them, I hustled up there to close it, but--- I was too late! They were already inside! And those things stink!!

Dave
I have a WHITE house and a WHITE shop and there is currently a bazillion ladybugs all over both. I am also blessed with an abundance of Daddy-Longlegs. I have a soybean field across the road and from what I have read the insects prevalent in soybean fields are part of the ladybug diet.
At least I am doing better than when I first erected the shop and was spray painting the exterior white and the lovely little buggers decided to swarm that day When injured/ excited they emit a lovely orange goo and as Reggie pointed out when en masse it has a lovely aroma.
