Just received my package today which I had been anticipating for a while. Now I can focus on sawing and making furniture..and start with a beer Cracked open a Red Seal Ale today..

Huge burden off my shoulders.

Kyle,
That's exciting! I know you'll make the best of the time you have working for yourself now!!

If you ever need a farm hand just holler, I'm still looking for work.

I'm glad a burden has been lifted. So........congratulations?

Will more sawing time for you translate into more wood buying oppotunities for us?

Anyway, hope all goes well and enjoy the cold one.

Congratulations, your one lucky man. I've been trying to find a way to cut out of the computer world but still have to make a living some way.

Re: Finally cut loose from Corporate life

I envy all you guys that make a good retirement into a second wood working life.

I sat down with my accountant yesterday and we determined I'll be able to quit working about two years

after I die.

Re: Finally cut loose from Corporate life

retirement.. The desk job was killing me and I am only 42 so I figure retirement in about 42 more years ..

The layoff was pretty large at the Charlotte plant.

I'm going for congratulations
Now that the "job" is out of the equation, other decisions will be simpler.

Enjoy the new adventure!

Congratulations on the move -- you'll miss the paycheck, but I'll guarantee you won't miss the stress! Life begins with retirement and we're confident you'll be able to make ends meet! Enjoy the smell of wood chips every day...
