I can't find the bolts to attach the saw to the base. Does anyone know where in the shop I put the little bag with the bolts and washers? Or in which of the 16 boxes? If so, please let me know.

Thanks!

Either you're holding them in your hand, or you put them in your pocket. Another possibility is that you have already installed them.

Don't worry, you'll find them when you get back from Home Depot where you purchased replacements.

Cue music: This sounds like a job for JB Weld!

I am aghast that you do not have a coffee can full of assorted nuts and bolts! Of course, you have no idea where those came from, either.

For no good reason, I kind of think they might be on one of those wooden shelves in the laundry room.

That sort of leaped into my mind when you said this.

Could be wrong, not the last time

Sorry Bas,

I'm sure they felt neglected and unwanted and left you for that Great Lost Nuts and Bolts Haven in the sky.
They're probably up there with the Sky Hook and the Three-pronged Nangling pin right now laughing at you.

It's a shame

Don

That's funny... right after I helped you move I found the bolts for attaching MY saw to it's base. Seems that I'd left them in the back of my pickup....

What a coincidence....

Re: Band saw help needed

Yo...I was there and help take it apart. I believe you put the parts in a plastic bag and then stuck it in the only unsealed box. I can see the box on the floor but most of the time I can't tell you what I ate for dinner last night.

Sorry..........

Re: Band saw help needed

I can't believe this post has gotten 13 replies I did find the bolts, although I'm not sure they're the same ones as before. But they fit and seem to do the job.

Nick - of course they're in the last box you look for them! Once you have found them, why look in another box?
Fred - I actually tapped my first hole this week. It felt like magic! As for duct tape - I have _mastered_ that joinery technique
Thanh - yup. I lose my tape measure 8 times per hour. Pencils disappear before my eyes. I have 4 utility knives now and still can't find one when I need it. I have GOT to get my shop organized before I go stark raving mad....
