Just checking out the list of schools under the "Woodworking in NC" link. My brother's currently attending Haywood Community College (Asheville area) for their Professional Craft-Wood program. Not sure if they offer classes for the weekend warrior or not - the program he's in is 2 or 3 years long. It's a great program if you want to make a living in woodworking, since they teach you not just how to do it, but how to run a business.
