Hello all,
I guess this is officially my first post. I am trying to get together some costs to see if it is possible for me to build a new workshop and move out of the garage. I am not and do not know an electrician. Any idea how much it may cost to wire up the building. Machines will be a mix of 110 and 220 ( single phase ). Looking at a 30'x40' building. Just trying to get some rough figures on paper right now.

HVAC company recommendations

Can anyone recommend a HVAC company they've used in the Durham area? I had the company I've used before come out to price a "through the wall" AC/Heater combo and they want over $1400 and I'll be doing most of the installation! That's doesn't include the electrical work needed either.

Any referrals would be appreciated!

Here's the second version of a potential layout for my garage workshop. It's in Sketchpad format for those who don't mind reviewing it and giving me some feedback.

New is this version is a vertical wood storage rack, more accurate platform (has correct lumber sizes (4x4's, 2x10's, etc.) and I hope, correct construction technique), plus a fold-up work space attached to the platform. The thought is that this will complement my workbench when working on larger projects.

I also lowered shortened the platform and put the DC back on ground level. I believe I will try to enclose the DC to reduce shop noise.

http://www.ncwoodworker.net/forums/d...d=253&act=down

I should mention, I have no training in the proper building techniques, so I based the design off plans I found online. Also, Sketchpad is new to me and I am still learning. :wsmile:

Any thoughts are welcome!

I have the Delta 50-760 DC and was wondering if there is a limit on how long it should run non-stop. Can one of these be run for 5-6 hours straight? Or are shorter time periods preferrable?

Thanks!
