Sad Day... We are going to move and have it narrowed down to a couple houses and all of the lack the space needed for a shop right now. So I'm forced to sell my Saw, I was going to put it on Craigslist and just wondering what could be a good asking price. It's only about 2 months old and really one has been used for about 20 mins total.

Not sure what a good asking price would be...

My wife wants red oak hardwood flooring. It can be pre-finished or unfinished. Just needs to be red oak or maybe a prefinished white oak. I need over 300 sq ft but if I can find 200 at a good deal I will take that and "find" the rest. Let me know if anyone runs across at a "decent" price. Thanks

Anybody have recommendations on a location around Raleigh to get some bandsaw blades cut down and rewelded ?

Raleigh Saw Co. in north Raleigh is the only place I know of, but I've never actually used them. Would rather not experiment with these blades.

I'd like some good advice on bandsaw blades. I recently acquired a Grizzly 16" G1073 saw, which came with a 1/2" blade. It takes 113" blades from 1/4" to 1". I assume that, like most blades that come with saws, the blade it came with is not a great blade, although it has been useful for set-up etc.

I'd like to buy a few blades to set myself up for cuts ranging from curved cuts in relatively thin stock such as 3/4" pine or plywood. For this, I was considering buying a 1/4" blade, and a replacement 1/2" blade with a somewhat higher tpi. I would also like to be able to cut larger stock and potentially do a little resawing. So, I was considering a 3/4" or 1" blade, with 2 - 3 tpi.

My challenge to you:

Tell me how I should spend $100 or so on a few blades. Please be as specific as you can (rake, hook, skip, tpi, and definitely source/vendor). I've done some reading and on-line shopping and came away overwhelmed and a little baffled.

Can be 110 or 220. Anywhere from 3/4-2HP would be fine. Rotation needs to be CCW.
Drop-in replacement would need a 1/2" shaft.

Used would be fine. I am only looking to spend ~50$. At this price point I am considering just waiting till an old craftsman tablesaw comes up for sale on CL :)

Any other recommendations?

I have the HF 2HP 110 volt dust collector and am really happy with it. I've fitted it w/a Wynn cartridge filter and plastic bags. I also have a chip separator in-line. What I need now is a remote control for this unit.

I've looked around the various catalogs and all I find is a remote for a 1 1/2 HP motor. The other remotes that are rated for 2HPs are all stated at 230volts. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
